Where do you go to school? What grade are you in?

2nd grade at St. Mary Catholic School

Do you remember your first ballet class? What was it like?

I don’t remember my very first ballet class because I was really young. I do remember my first class at Classical Ballet of Mobile, though! Miss Anna explained what we would be doing in class and then we all introduced ourselves. It was fun!

What brought you to Classical Ballet of Mobile?

My first ballet teacher retired, and my friends and I decided to join Classical Ballet of Mobile!

What has been your favorite part of dancing Classical Ballet of Mobile?

“Throw the baby, catch the baby” with Miss Anna. (No children were harmed in this exercise: This is a sauté arabesque, sauté passé - in which arms are “throwing the baby” in arabesque and “catching" it in first.) I also love dancing on the stage in the really cool costumes.

What's the hardest part about ballet?

Learning all the names of the movements. Stretching is hard, too.

What's your favorite ballet?

The Nutcracker

What do you want to be when you grow up?

Professional dancer/singer.
