A Dancer's Best Foot Forward

Dancers show respect for themselves by:

• being on time for class,
• being properly dressed for class,
• having hair in a bun or if short, secured off the face.

Dancers show respect for others by:

• using quiet voices in the halls,
• walking, not running in the lobby area or hallways,
• being on time for class,
• listening during class and raising your hand to ask questions.

Dancers show respect for their teacher by:

• being outside their classroom door on time,
• standing when a teacher needs to talk with them,
• listening to and watching their teacher as he or she teaches,
• being ready for their turn, and when not dancing, standing quietly and in a graceful manner, • asking permission to leave the room for any reason,
• saying thank-you to the teacher after class.

Dancers show respect for the studio by:

• using the barres only when directed to do so by a teacher,
• eating in designated areas, and promptly disposing of trash,
• keeping the dressing room and restroom clean and neat,
• keeping their belongings together and out of the hallway path, • disposing of personal trash promptly and properly.

Thank you!
