STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Maggie Boudreaux

Where do you go to school? What grade are you in?

I am currently being homeschooled, and this will be my freshman year of high school.

What do you want to be when you grow up?

I am still praying about that.

When did you realize you loved ballet?

I was inspired to take ballet after seeing a performance of Mr. Corey’s Snow White, but what made me realize I loved it was during my first Holiday Wonders. We were dancing to the “Carol of the Bells/The First Noel” and I could see a woman in the audience that was smiling and singing along. She looked so happy, and at that moment I realized I loved dancing for others to bring them joy.

What brought you to Classical Ballet of Mobile?

We were one of the founding families of CBM five years ago when our old studio went in a different direction.

What has been your favorite Classical Ballet of Mobile role thus far?

All my favorites have been from The Nutcracker: Tea, Marzipan, Flowers, and Snow

What's your dream role/variation/ballet?

Giselle

What advice would you like to share with younger dancers who want to be just like you when they grow up?

Make sure you are working hard, even when no one is watching you.
