Ballet 4

Adolescent students at the Ballet 4 level are at a developmental juncture in which they are contemplating what they might be able to achieve as adults. As such, Classical Ballet of Mobile prepares physically stable ballerinas for pointework and gentlemen danseurs for higher-flying leaps and multiple turns. Pre-pointe to first-year pointe students remain in this level until mastery of goals.

Classical Ballet of Mobile offers several strengthening classes for Ballet 4 students, plus one jazz class, recommending that most dancers in this division spend at least 6 hours per week training. Though other classes are optional, please make sure your Level 4 dancer begins with the required Tuesday Ballet 4 class. Classes are “required” for rehearsal scheduling purposes when casting for performances.

Technique, Pointe & Jazz

Ballet 4 is admitted to multiple technique and pointe classes to reinforce proper alignment, continued strengthening of the lower body, and command of the body on an off pointe. Plus - dancers are invited to join Jazz 1 to complement their classical regimen.

Remember that Tuesday Technique is required for Level 4 dancers.
