SENIOR SPOTLIGHT: Anna Daniels
Anna Daniels is our graduating high school senior and long-time Classical Ballet of Mobile Company member.
Anna began dancing at age 3 at Mobile Ballet under the instruction of Pamela Thompson. She came to Classical Ballet of Mobile in 2018 and studied at least two years with Winthrop Corey. Anna became a Classical Ballet of Mobile Company member in 2019. Anna trained with Joffrey South in 2018 and was offered a Trainee position. She has studied with Alabama Ballet in their 2022 summer intensive and will be joining them again this summer of 2023.
With her diploma from Davidson High School in hand, Anna will be taking the stage in “Dance Dans le Jardin” in multiple roles: Jazz, Three Graces of “Walpurgis Night,” Dulcinea of Don Quixote, and Medora of Le Corsaire.
Anna may best be remembered as Classical Ballet of Mobile’s Cinderella in our 2021 “A Cinderella Story” - the first full-length ballet our nonprofit brought to the stage. But her portrayal of the titular character in Paquita in 2022 was particularly stunning as she refined her pas de deux technique. Between her countless performances from The Nutcracker, Anna was always a standout in the Snow and Waltz of the Flowers corps de ballet, Marzipan, and solo Arabian with choreography by Winthrop Corey.
Anna will be pursuing an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a double minor in Psychology and Dance from Auburn University in the fall. Join Classical Ballet of Mobile in honoring our darling senior, Anna Daniels!
